Pearl Adelene Owsley, 92, of Appleton City, Missouri passed away Monday night, July 18, 2022 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. She was born September 30, 1929 in Edwards, Mo., the daughter of James Elza Owsley and Lou Sylvia (Bybee) Owsley.Pearl was employed as an executive secretary and real estate agent. Her most rewarding “job” was that of caring for her aging mother.
She enjoyed yard work and gardening. Insisting on mowing her own yard into her 90’s. She was a very self-sufficient lady.
She made a lot of her own home and equipment repairs herself. As a young girl she was a tomboy always outdoors helping her dad with the outdoor chores. Surviving are one sister, Oma Dickenson, Springfield, Mo.; five nieces, Beverly Mosley, Clinton, Mo., Rita Bradford, Clinton, Mo., Wanda Preston (Ralph), Blairstown, Mo., Debra Ross (Bob), Humansville, Mo., and Pam Lear (Kevin), Strafford, Mo.; three nephews, J.W. Bradfield (Debbie), Holden, Mo., Mark Bradfield (Shari), Harrisonville, Mo., and Sam Tummons (Karen), Oak Grove, Mo.; numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Eula Owsley, Eva Dickenson, Joyce Bradfield and Betty Owsley; two nieces, Lois Dickenson and Edra Tummons; one nephew, Clifton Dickenson; three brothers in law, Ab Dickenson, Bill Bradfield and Bob Dickenson; and two nephews in law, Grover Mosley and Jesse Bradford. Graveside service and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Englewood Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
