The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2014 Freight-liner Cascadia driven by 49 year old Tadarrell W. Haywood of Shreveport, Louisiana failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway and skidded to a stop on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Mr. Haywood sustained serious injuries and was transported by Med Flight to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.
