Butler Youth Center will be reopening this Fall

I am very excited to announce that the Butler Youth Center will be reopening this Fall. The second Tuesday in September 13, 2022 will be our opening date. The schedule will be the same as last time, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 5:30pm.

We have been closed for two years due to the Covid-19 worries. For those not familiar with the Butler Youth Center, it is an after school program for Butler children kindergarten and up.

We also have a great representation from the home school community. We provide a meal, crafts, tutoring, basic hygiene supplies, and anything else the particular child might need.

The Youth Center is sponsored by the Bates County Youth Advocacy Council and is entirely run by donations.

The Youth Center has at least 4-5 adult volunteers, as well as employing "graduates" of the Youth Center. These guys and gals are certainly not going to get rich working here, but do learn the basic employee responsibilities, such as showing up on time and showing up as scheduled.

Once again the Community and School have humbled me by stepping up in providing meals, donations, offers to help etc.

So, if you see me coming in the front door you might want to go out the back door as I'm probably going to be asking for something for our "kids"! YEA!!!!!!
