K-68 resurfacing project to start in Miami County

K-68 resurfacing project to start in Miami County

Wednesday, Aug. 24, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects to start a resurfacing project on K-68 from U.S. 69 east to the Kansas-Missouri state line. Activity includes a 1½-inch mill and asphalt overlay. The contractor will begin work at the state line and continue west through the city of Louisburg.

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone on the two-lane section of K-68; expect delays of 15 minutes or less. Traffic will be carried through construction with intermittent lane closures inside the Louisburg city limits.

Weather permitting, the project should be finished by mid-October.
