After graduation, she moved to Independence, MO, and worked as a typist at a large insurance company for one year. After returning to El Do, she worked at Tina’s Floral Shop and then Witt Printing until she met and married Wilbern Schmidt on September 4, 1971, and then moved to Archie, MO. To this union, their only child, Julie Rebecca, was born February 17, 1972. Becky was a loving mother and grandmother.
