William Lee Melcher, age 67, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 11, 1954 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the son of Donald and Shirley (Baker) Melcher.
Bill grew up in Wisconsin until moving to Independence, Missouri in 1983. He later graduated from Van Horn High School. Soon after graduation he began work for the Railroad, moving to Warsaw in 2006 when he was united in marriage to Barbara Watts.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bonnie and his son William Lee Melcher, Jr.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Melcher of the home, a son Billy Melcher, of Grain Valley, a daughter, Kelly Melcher, of Higginsville, a stepdaughter, Crystal Watts, of Warsaw, eleven grandchildren; Amber Melcher, Sunday Clevenger, Hailey Melcher, Landyn Melcher, Thomas Melcher, Payton Hunter, Zackery Hunter, Savannah Watts, Logan Belman, Layla Martin and Chance Melcher, a great granddaughter, Addison Melcher, a brother, Butch Melcher, a half brother, Dennis Baker and two half sisters; Nancy and Chrissy.
Funeral Services for William L. Melcher will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M.
