Adrian man escapes serious injury after striking a cow in the roadway

On September 25th around 10:12 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies and Adrian Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 18 Highway east of OO Highway in rural Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the westbound 2010 Dodge Caravan driven by 66 year old Billy J. Cumpton of Adrian, Missouri struck a cow in the roadway.

Mr. Cumpton sustained minor injuries in this accident and he will seeking his own medical treatment at a later time.
