For all Drexel Area Constituents:

This post is to inform you all that we are on the verge of losing our Ambulance Service

The new Drexel Community Fire Protection District and City of Drexel Board of Aldermen have become aware of a financial situation with the Ambulance Services with CCCFPD that started years back and was not resolved.

We all received a letter back in January that service would possibly cease by May 1, 2022 if an agreement couldn’t be made. Negotiations have been in the works with CCCFPD, the Board of Aldermen and the DCFPD Board to come to an agreement.

Ambulance service has been extended to September 30, 2022, (or as long as negotiations take). We are needing our constituent to understand this financial problem is not just in Drexel but throughout the nation. Without additional funding CCCFPD cannot continue to service our area.

We are going to need your support. With our negotiations a possible EMS tax will most likely have to be imposed. We hope that an agreement will be made soon, we will keep you posted.
