Dale Lovell of rural Hume recently had to have his right foot and partial leg amputated to just below the knee. Dale is undergoing physical therapy and is staying at a local motel in Fort Scott until a ramp can be built at his home as well as other updates that are needed in his recovery. Dale has a super positive outlook and is focusing on a full recovery and returning to work as soon as possible.

There will be a freewill benefit spaghetti lunch for Dale Lovell on Sunday, September 18 at the Hume Legion Hall in Hume from 11:30 a.m. to 130 p.m. Come out and enjoy some delicious spaghetti and fellowship, plus help out Dale.

Don’t forget food pantry pick up in Hume is Saturday, September 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The Hume Fire Department is busy planning their annual Chili Cook off for Saturday, October 1 st. Mark that down on your calendar and watch for updates.

Hume United Methodist Church: We are planning on getting Kid’s Klub on Wednesday, Sept 21 st at 3:30 p.m. and will last until 4:30 p.m. We are looking forward to seeing all the kiddos!
