Obituary - Becky Ray

Rebecca, known as such only when she was in trouble or receiving bills, age 68, of Fristoe, Missouri, passed away on September 23, 2022 at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, MO, surrounded by her children.

Becky, as she preferred to be called, or Debky when she was really in trouble with her mother, was born on April 28, 1954. She was born an Army Brat in Augusta, GA. She would later live in Japan, California, Washington, Arkansas, Arizona, and Missouri.

Through two unions of marriage, Becky raised, loved, and lifted up three children and three grandchildren who loved her beyond measure.

Becky was baptized in the faith of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, on September 09, 2011 at First Baptist in Blue Springs, MO.

Becky enjoyed singing loudly and even penned and performed her legendary song, The Good Morning Song. Her performances were not limited to her own written songs, nor were they limited to the privacy of her home. Wal-mart was often a favored performance venue and the grocery aisles were never more entertaining.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Calvin Hartsock, Sr. and Alex Zenia Benson

Becky is survived by her children; Adrian VanDusen of Kansas City, MO, Deanna LoPorto and her husband Adam of Kansas City, MO, and Dusty Mills and her husband Scott, of the home in Fristoe, MO; and three grandchildren, Dominica LoPorto of Kansas City, MO, Ashlyn Mills of Fristoe, MO, and Thatcher Mills of Fristoe, MO. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter on the way, Jupiter Marie, Her sister, Deborah Tester, and her brothers Theodore Hartsock and David Hartsock, along with many dear friends and family.

Memorial Services for Becky Ray will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at the outdoor Amphitheater at Drake Harbor in Warsaw, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in her memory to go to Missouri Mustard Seeds Ministries, c/o Hawthorn Bank, P.O. Box 217, Warsaw, MO 65355 or digitally at www.eveningshadechildrenshome.org/donate.
