Sandra K. Miller, age 79, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September, 17, 2022, at the Warsaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 19, 1943, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde W. and Velma L. Vanderpool Wyman.
Sandra was raised in Excelsior Springs and in 1969 was united in marriage to Donald Miller in Lawson. They continued to live around Excelsior Springs and she worked at Hallmark Cards before they moved to the Warsaw area where they owned and operated a restaurant for 17 years.
After retirement they continued living around Warsaw. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and had received her 50 Year Certificate. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, William W. Moran.
Sandra is survived by her husband Donald of 53 years, a daughter, Loretta Cobb, and her husband Kendall, of Liberty, Missouri and a son, James Moran, and his wife Pauline, of Pearland, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Erin Dufner, Jaci Guilkey, Drew Cobb, Karissa Moran, Tyler Moran and Kristina Eller, twelve great-grandchildren, a sister Betty Ware, of Excelsior Springs, other relatives and friends.
Sandy was a loving wife and mother. Her grandchildren describe her as being fun loving with a heart of gold. She was all about her flowers, lotion and lake life. One of her best qualities was her strength and perseverance even through her illness.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Excelsior Springs.
