Strike out cancer event in Nevada

The Nevada High School Softball Team made a big pitch to Strike Out Cancer at Thursday evening’s game at Bushwhacker Field. The girls met their goal of raising $1,000 to give to Nevada Regional Medical Center’s Mammogram Fund for underinsured women.

Softball Booster President, Kim Buck notes, “These players are more than just good softball players, they are young ladies that represent our school and community well, both on and off the field. I am so proud of them.

We’re also pleased with the community support for this event and appreciate everyone’s donations.” Nevada Regional Medical Center’s CEO, Jason Anglin added, “We are so appreciative of the Nevada High School Softball team’s continued support in helping NRMC fight breast cancer.

We are very grateful for their donation.” Pictured below, Senior player Kirstin Buck presents the check to Mr. Anglin.
