On September 12th around 12:12 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident on Missouri 54 Highway and Missouri 43 Highway around 5 miles west of Nevada.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the northbound 2013 Ford F-150 driven by 19 year old Tylar A. Green of Nevada, Missouri failed to stop for a stop sign and struck the westbound 2014 Peterbilt driven by 48 year old Robert E. King of Nevada, Missouri.
Three occupants in the Ford F-150 were killed and one was seriously injured in this accident, 24 year old Allison R. Bittiker of Nevada, Missouri and a 17 year old juvenile female from Bronaugh, Missouri were pronounced dead at he scene of the crash.
Tylar A. Green was pronounced dead Cox South Hospital at 4:40 a.m. this morning. A fourth occupant in the truck 19 year old Derick T. Mahurin of Nevada, Missouri sustained serious injuries and was transported to Freeman West Hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by Garwood's Wrecker Service of Nevada. This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 94th, 95th and 96th fatality for the year 2022.
