Butler Bears win a tough road game Saturday afternoon

The Butler Bears (7-2) was on the road this beautiful fall afternoon in Blue Valley playing the Christ Prep Patriots in high school football action.

Senior wide receiver Mason Diehl scored the first touchdown on a nice run on a reverse play and Freshman cornerback Jake Chandler snatched a 39 yard interception and returned it for a touchdown right before halftime to give the Bears a 14-11 lead at the break.

Butler came out strong in the 3rd quarter with a long 50 yard run by Junior QB Dylan Davidson, which led to a Brendin Patrick rushing touchdown.

The Butler Bears closed the game out well and got the win with a final score of 22-14. The bears move to 7-2 and will be the number 1 seed in district play. We will be looking to get some rest as we have a bye next week due to Lone Jack forfeiting there season due to lack of players.

We will update with Missouri State Highschool District Football Playoff Brackets when they become available to us.
