Oklahoma man escapes serious injury after fiery rollover accident in Bates County

On October 11th around 12:37 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on southbound I-49 near mile marker 122.4 which is just north of Rich Hill.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2004 Subaru Forester driven by 30 year old Garrett R. Waterman of Tulsa, Oklahoma lost control of his vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned. The vehicle then caught fire.

Mr. Waterman sustained minor injuries and he was checked out and treated at the scene of the accident by Bates County EMS.
