The Belton Planning Commission approved the final development plan for The Other Place, an American sports grill & pizzeria.
Construction of the 5,150-square-foot stand-alone restaurant is anticipated to begin in early 2023. The restaurant offers a large outdoor patio and will be located at the southeast corner of N. Cedar Street (Y Highway) and Givan Avenue, 311 N. Cedar Street.
This project is the first sit-down restaurant to be constructed along the Y Highway corridor. This restaurant provides a walkable amenity for the future residents of the two new apartment complexes currently under construction, the Encore and Center 301, as well as the Bradford Place subdivision.
“This development sets a precedent for commercial development along the Y Highway corridor, and increases the likelihood of additional investment,” said Carolyn Yatsook, economic development director. The project engineer of record is SM Engineering.
The architecture firm of record is Hive Design Collaborative.
