Fatality motorcycle accident in Cass County

On November 22nd around 6:49 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies and Peculiar Police Department responded to a fatality motorcycle accident on 211th Street just west of Route J in Peculiar.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2020 Harley Davidson Tri Glide Ultra driven by 62 year old Lewis W. Laughlin of Sedalia, Missouri was making a right turn onto 211th Street when the bike overturned and ran off the right side of the roadway, ejecting the rider.

Mr. Laughlin was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and he was transported to Frontier Forensics. This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 63 Fatality of the year 2022.
