A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, Missouri.
Lucille was born November 23, 1926 in Metz, Missouri, the daughter of Louie Ragan and Blanche Leota Schafer Ragan. After high school, Lucille met the love of her life, Kenneth Marion Carter. On May 10, 1945 they were joined in marriage in Fort Scott, Kansas. Together, they were blessed with four loving children, Gary, Shirley, Teresa and Kenny.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Marion Carter; granddaughter, Shauna Heck; great-grandson, Jonathan Schrock; and seven siblings, Edna Wingate, Vera Ballenger, Verl Burchell, Ralph Ragan, Charley Ragan, Florence Joann Wadel, and infant baby Clara Ragan.
She is survived by her four children, son, Gary Carter (Betsey) of Peculiar, MO, daughters, Shirley Garrett (David) of Garden City, MO, Teresa Morton (Dudley) of Peculiar, MO, son, Kenny Carter (Kathy) of Peculiar, MO; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
