Gary was a lifelong farmer, raising row crops, hogs and cattle. He was a member of the Park Grove Christian Church, where he served as an elder, deacon and Sunday School superintendent. He and Treva were currently attending Golden Valley Christian Church. Gary enjoyed being outdoors, working cattle and driving his trusty Ford tractors.
In addition to his wife Treva, surviving are two sons, Theron Lee Jones (Laurie), White Heath, Illinois, and Brian Eli Jones (Lisa), Republic, Mo.; one daughter, Amy Lynne Burns (Brett), Deepwater, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Rachel Olivia Smith (Holden), Bement, Il., Caleb Lee Burns (Megan), Kingsville, Mo., Jerney Eli Jones (fiancé Kaitlyn), Ashland, Mo., Nathanael Grant Jones (Kaitlyn), Warrensburg, Mo., Jake Samuel Jones, Republic, Mo., Anna Elizabeth Burns, Deepwater, Mo., and Jessie Colleen Jones, Columbia, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Ellison Michelle Jones and Dean William Burns; one sister, Gay Evelyn Smith (Mark), Clinton, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sylvia Ann Jones.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. just prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Park Grove Cemetery, Lowry City, Mo.
