Obituary - Larry W. Taylor

Larry W. Taylor, age 76, of Peculiar, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Select Speciality Hospital of Kansas City, Kansas.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at the funeral home.

Larry was born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 31, 1946 to David M. and Hazel V. (née Bollinger) Taylor. After high school Larry served his country in the United States Army. Larry was joined in marriage with his wife, Linda K. Rowe on November 28, 1970. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Kim and Jamie. In life, Larry worked as a carpenter for many years in the Local Union #61. He enjoyed spending his spare time with his grandchildren and family in many different actives like horseback riding, hunting, fishing, traveling on vacations and loved gambling especially his scratch off tickets.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, David and Hazel Taylor; two brothers, Robert Taylor and Jimmie Taylor; and one sister, Kay Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Taylor; two daughters, Kim “Louie” Allen and Jamie Kelley (Brad); brother, Richard Taylor (Bonnie); sister, Joyce Givens; five grandchildren, David Allen (Brianna), Stephanie Flores (Nolan), Emily Twillegar (John), Shon Kelley and Jordyn Kelley; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Xavier and Lillian; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
