Sarah was born in Kirksville, MO on November 4th, 1941 to Maurice and Roberta Drury. She was the second of four sisters, Barbara, Sarah, Mary and Letha. Barbara and Letha pre-decease her. Sarah was a lifelong Missouri resident and spent most of her life in Vernon County.
Sarah graduated high school in Nevada, MO. She worked as a secretary, a legal secretary, a real estate agent/broker, and a stay-at-home mother.
Having known him since they were children, Sarah married Alva Jackson Brock in 1960. Jack passed away earlier this year.
Sarah was a kind and highly intelligent woman. She was a lifelong autodidact, a passionate gardener and birdwatcher. She loved her dogs and spent her final days in the company of her beloved dog Bebee.
Sarah had three children; Jackie, Jeff, and John Brock. She had seven grandchildren: Jacob Shouse, Tyler Shouse, Lawrence Shouse, Caitlin Brock, Annelies Brock, Cole Brock, and Evan Brock. She had nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
