The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the northbound 2004 Ford Taurus driven by 54 year old Mark E. Gippner of Raytown, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a highway sign and became airborne and struck several trees.
Mr. Gippner sustained moderate injuries and he was transported by ambulance to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment.
