The Missouri State Highway says the accident occurred when the 2009 BMW driven by 42 year old Charles R. Pratt of Nevada and a 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pickup operated by 55 year old James B. Bennet of Nevada were both westbound when Pratt struck Bennett's vehicle in the rear.
Both drivers were listed with minor injuries and taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center to be treated.
Mr. Pratt was charged by the highway patrol with a misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated and for careless and imprudent driving. He was booked and released.
