Two Pleasant Hill Police Officers injured in crash with impaired driver

On Thursday, November 24, 2022, at approximately 1:00 am, two officers with the Pleasant Hill Police Department were involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Lexington Road.

The officers suffered injuries in the crash and were transported to an area hospital where they were treated and later released.

The vehicle crash is being investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop A.

While we cannot provide the details of the investigation, we do know that two officers, riding in a single patrol vehicle were traveling east on Country Club Drive. The driver of the other vehicle was traveling south on Lexington at what has been reported as at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the other vehicle allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign, traveling into the path of the eastbound patrol vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving while intoxicated/impaired.
