Two vehicle accident in rural northeast Adrian

On November 16th around 4:45 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Archie Police Department, Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Bates County EMS and the Adrian Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident on E Highway at NE CR 2763 in rural northeast Adrian.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the eastbound 2018 Dodge Ram driven by 27 year old Ryan A. Jacks of Archie, Missouri failed to yield during a turn and into the path striking the west bound 2006 Kia Sorento driven by 45 year old Erin M. Newkirk of Butler.

Erin M. Newkirk sustained moderate injuries and she was transported by Bates County EMS to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
