Ballard R-2 School District Student of the Month for November is Senior Macie Morris

The Ballard R-2 School District is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month for the 2022-23 school year.

Student of the Month is selected by the staff of the Ballard R-2 School District using the following criteria: attendance, attitude towards others and school, behavior, leadership, and improvement in or maintenance of good grades. This month's special theme included qualities of gratitude and generosity.

The Student of the Month for November is Senior, Macie Morris, the daughter of Gene and Brandy Morris. Macie participates in volleyball and FFA. In her free time, she also enjoys the rodeo. Her future plans are to attend Kansas State University, compete on the rodeo team, and major in Accounting.

The Ballard Staff has said: "Macie is polite when she asks for help and shows appreciation with verbal thanks. I have seen Macie help other students during (class). Macie seems to be happy with a smile and willing to learn with gratitude.

I think Macie has Gratitude Attitude" and, "she has realized that she has a passion for Business/ Marketing and has become grateful to have a plan after high school. Macie's newfound direction in life has given her clarity and appreciation. Macie is generous with her time and talents during (class), she provides inspiration and affirmation to our elementary students."

For Macie's hard work in school, he is receiving a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.”
