East Buchanan too much for Adrian in State Championship Game

The Adrian Blackhawks fell today to the East Buchanan Bulldogs in the Class 1 State Championship Football Game at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and the domination continued in the second half. East Buchanan won 42-0.

East Buchanan junior running back Trevor Klein scored the first two touchdowns of the game. He had three scores in the first half. Gage Busby threw two touchdowns in the first half.

QB Gage busby connected with Klein in the third quarter to make it 35-0 and Busby found Adam Stephen Engnes for an 82-yard catch and run to make it 42-0 after three.

East Buchanan defense was dominant today and now the bulldogs have won back to back State Championships and will be favored again next year in Class 1.

The Blackhawks had a fantastic season and will finish 12-3 and state runner up in Class 1 as well as District 4 champions. Thank you to all the seniors!!
