Kingsville man killed in early Thursday morning crash

On December 8th around 5:24 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Jackson County along with Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies and Lone Jack Fire and EMS responded to a one vehicle accident on Route F south of Faulkenberry Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the northbound 2017 Hyundai Veloster driven by 39 year old Jefferson D. Hilton of Kingsville, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a sign, embankment and tree causing the vehicle to catch fire.

Mr. Hilton was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and he was transported to the Jackson County Medical Examiners Office. This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 67th Fatality of the year 2022.
