He was an Army World War II Veteran serving under General McArthur in the Philippine Liberation. He was a route supervisor for Guys Potato Chips. He was united in marriage to Maxine Miller.
She preceded him in death on January 8, 1997. He later married Murriell Yates. The two enjoyed traveling to many parts of the United States. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2011. Earl had a passion for fishing. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Burt and a sister, Dolly.
He is survived by a son, Ron Wilson and wife Joy, a daughter, Janet Henley, eight grandchildren, Sheri, Christy, Brenna, Jeffrey, Dustin, Jason, Heather and Wendy, fourteen great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the New Life Baptist Church in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery.
