Obituary - Jason Glyn Gregory

Jason Glyn Gregory, 43, stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI. He was born January 11, 1979 and left to be in the arms of Jesus December 11, 2022. A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 13, 2022 at Vansant Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, MO from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Jason was born in Clinton, MO. He attended Calhoun school and graduated in 1997. Prior to joining the Navy in March 2007 he worked at Hardee's and Schreiber Foods,

While in the Navy he was stationed at several places including Great Lakes, IL; San Diego, CA; Coronado, CA; Diego Garcia; South Korea; Bahrain, UAE; Pensacola, FL and Pearl Harbor, HI. During his time in Pensacola, Jason achieved his greatest accomplishment making Chief Petty Officer on September 13, 2019. Jason received a total of 7 awards during his 15 years in the military, 2 Navy Achievement Medals; 3 Navy Commendation Medals; 1 Army Achievement Medal and 1 joint service Achievement Medal.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Glyn and Hazel Scrogham, paternal grandparents Gerald and Ena Gregory and a cousin Melissa Boatright.

Jason is survived by his parents Kay Gregory of Clinton, MO and Leland M Gregory of Clinton, MO. A brother, Shannon Gregory (Katie Burman) of Kansas City, MO; a sister Kimberly Glaspy (Joel) of Excelsior Springs, MO; 3 nieces, Alexis, Chloe and Haizley Glaspy all of Excelsior Springs, MO and 2 nephews, Klayton and Jaxton Glaspy of Excelsior Springs, MO; several Aunts and Uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Jason was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg, MO. Jason loved reading and watching movies, he enjoyed his time outdoors especially riding his motorcycle and sailing. Jason will be sorely missed by his family, friends and the lives he touched.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
