Norma Lee Anderson, 74, of Belton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at peace, surrounded by family. Memorial services will be at the family's discretion at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice (harborhospice.com).
Norma Lee Anderson (Toots) was born in Wheaton, Missouri, on February 23, 1948, to Alfred Eugene and Velma Louis (Salsman) Kimbrough. Norma attended school in the Raytown South School District and graduated with an LPN, RN, and Paralegal degree. She started working for Research Medical Center as a nurse in 1980 and was a Home Health Nurse until she retired.
Norma married her husband, Carl Edward Anderson, on December 26, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. Together they raised two children, daughter Tonya Lynn Anderson, born on August 30, 1966, and daughter Juli Kristine (Anderson) Brunner, born on May 05, 1975. For 57 years, Norma and Carl made their life and home in Belton, Missouri.
Norma dedicated her life to her family and her profession of caring for others for 20-plus years. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, reading, sewing, and continuously educating herself. Norma loved a good book and going to the movies. You can always find Norma curled up with a good book and her canine companion beside her.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred E. and Velma L. (Salsman), and her brother Donald Eugene Kimbrough. She is survived by her husband, Carl Anderson, of the home; her daughters Tonya Anderson, Juli (Anderson) and husband Scott Brunner; grandchildren: Danniette McKee, Jeanette (Carver) and wife Amber Costlow, Tyler and Gabriel Driskill; great-grandchildren: Uri McKee, Levi Smith, Evangeline Costlow, and Rylan: siblings: Donald E., James Michael, and Raymond Dale Kimbrough.
