Public service from the Harrisonville Police Department

The Harrisonville Police Department would like to remind everyone to please lock their vehicles when they are left unattended. There have been several reports of unlocked vehicles being entered recently. 

Please do yourselves a favor and 'Lock em up"! It is also a good idea to remove any valuables from the vehicle, especially those in plain sight.

So far this week we have had more than a dozen reports of items missing from vehicles, in every case the vehicle was left unlocked. Fortunately, we do have suspect in custody for these cases, and many of these items have been recovered, but this could have been prevented by simply locking your car doors.

While interviewing this suspect he stated "I only stole from vehicles that were left unlocked".
