Update: Semi truck accident slows traffic Tuesday morning near Peculiar

On December 13th around 3:55 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a semi truck accident in the southbound lanes of I-49 near mile marker 169.2 in the Peculiar area of Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2019 Freightliner driven by 28 year old Sobit Kuvondikov of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania traveled off the left side of the roadway and into the median striking a cable barrier before coming to rest.

Mr. Kuvondikov sustained minor injuries and he was transported by ambulance to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.
