Clinton Fire Department to receive new fire engine May 2023

The Clinton Fire Department is proud to reveal drawings of the newest fire engine that will serve the citizens of Clinton. The Rosenbaur engine is scheduled to be delivered in May of 2023.

Construction delays have resulted in a longer than usual build time, the original delivery date was scheduled for November of 2022. Regardless, when the new apparatus arrives, it will be instrumental in the departments daily functions.

The new engine (Engine 4) will replace the departments frontline engine, a 1993 KME pumper (Engine 3). Engine 3 will be reassigned as a reserve engine and remain in service in a less demanding role.

Funds to purchase this new engine were made possible by the 1/4 cent sales tax passed by the citizens of Clinton in April of 2016. Engine 4 will be the third apparatus purchased from the funds.

The Clinton Fire Department wishes to thank the citizens of Clinton for their support of the 1/4 sales tax that had made these purchases possible. Your safety is our top concern. These necessary improvements are a vital step in the growth of our department.
