It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Kay McGan Sloan announces her passing. Sandy, 55, of Raymore, Mo. passed on December 17, 2022 with her husband by her side after being surrounded byfriends and family in her final days.

Sandy was born on July 10th, 1967, in Kansas City, Mo. to Richard and Mary Patricia McGan. Sandy was the baby in a large Catholic family of 9 children. Sandy spent her years growing up surrounded by brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She graduated from Hickman Mills High School in 1985. She met her husband Michael Sloan in 1995.

Mike knew he was going to marry Sandy on the first night that they met, and they tied the knot in 2000 in Kansas City, Mo. Sandy spent many years as a dental assistant before the birth of her children, McKenna Kay Sloan, 20 and Landan Lee Sloan, 15. Sandy dedicated many years to raising her children and being the personal shopper to many family members. Sandy lived with pancreatic cancer for the last 2 years and put up one heck of a fight.

Sandy will be fondly remembered as the best gift giver, with the perfect smile, and award-winning deviled eggs. Her contagious laughter, witty humor, and love will be missed. Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers Patrick, Michael, Donald and her parents Richard and Pat. Sandy is survived by her husband, Michael Sloan; their two kids, McKenna and Landan; their family dog, Truman; siblings, Gail Oaks, Diana (Steve) Sproul, Phillip McGan, Ronald McGan, Jeffrey (Linda) McGan, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
