Dr. Parkhurst is currently the principal of Holden High School. He’s also served as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Holden. Prior to that, he taught social studies and coached in the Belton and Sherwood School Districts.
Dr. Parkhurst earned his bachelor’s degree from Avila University, his master’s from William Woods University and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Baker University.
Dr. Parkhurst and his wife, Kristine, live in Harrisonville and have twin boys who are first graders at Harrisonville Elementary School.
Dr. Parkhurst will begin his duties in the Harrisonville School District on July 1, 2023. Current Assistant Superintendent Jason Eggers has announced his retirement effective June 30.
