
On 03/06/2023 Deputies with the Bates County Sheriff's Office took a report of a stolen 2012 Ford F250 single cab truck with an long bed. The truck is black in color and has damage to the tailgate.
The truck was stolen from the area of County Road 11002 and County Road 2001 in rural Adrian sometime between the hours of midnight and 10:00AM this morning.

At approximately 0445 hours this morning, deputies received a call for a suspicious person walking in the same area. Upon deputies arrival, the subject was not located and had apparently already left the area.
On 03/05/2023 deputies took a report of an attempted theft of a vehicle also in the rural Adrian area near County Road 1503 and County Road 11004 at approximately 2330 hours. It is unknown if the two incidents are related and in that case the truck was left in the ditch near the victim's residence.
Deputies and investigators are working on locating the stolen truck and is seeking information from the public if they saw or heard something in the area. This is also a reminder to not leave your keys in your vehicles unattended and lock your doors.
